1982 Gibson Limited Edition Standard 82 Les Paul Quilt Top Honey Burst w/ OHSC and Hang Tag

The Gibson "Standard 82" was one of Gibsons early attempts at a 59 Reissue featuring the legendary “Tim Shaw Pickups”. The Standard 82 features a 1-piece neck making it a higher end build from the more common "Elite 80" models of the same era. This early "reissue" model was made in the Kalamazoo factory unlike some of the other early 80s models which were made in the new (at the time) Nashville factory. It also sports an insanely figured quilt maple top, ABR-1 bridge and the coveted Tim Shaw pickups. The neck on this guitar is a chunky, 59 style carve. This guitar is all original with no mods or repairs. There is some finish crazing that is noticeable on both the top and back as you would expect on a vintage Les Paul from this era and there are a few dings here and there which you can see in the photos. Overall this guitar is in very good condition for a 43 year old guitar. It includes its original Gibson hardshell case and the original hang tag! This is a very rare guitar that would be the prize of just about any Les Paul collection.
