Product Description

Vintage 1972 Fender Stratocaster Candy Apple Red w/HSC

Once in a while, an exceptional vintage Strat just happens to walk into our shop and this guitar fits that to a T. This Strat was made in 1972 in the super rare custom color, Candy Apple Red. 1972 was a pivotal year for the Stratocaster (and Fender guitars in general) because it was the first year for their 3 bolt neck design. This example is a stellar guitar both in originality and condition. This guitar is all original other than the 5 way switch. The original bridge pickup was just rewound and the original 3-way switchis included and could be re-installed into the guitar. The original frets have some wear, mainly in the middle of the neck but they still have plenty of meat left on them. The neck is a nice, chunky carve that fills your hand but still feels fast and comfortable and it sounds AMAZING plugged in. Strats are not always known for their sustain and resonance but this one has some serious mojo. Whether you are looking for an exceptional player or a rare piece to add to your collection, you won't go wrong with this guitar.
