We get asked all of the time, should I choose private instruction or a Rock Band Ensemble? In a perfect world, every aspiring musician should try and do both. Rock Band Ensembles are a great way to meet other musicians and get used to playing with other people but without a fundamental foundation, ensembles can present challenges that leave the students feeling very underprepared so supplementing that group instruction with private lessons is the quickest way to take your skills to the next level.

Alexei Misoul - Guitar, Bass, Ukulele, Voice

Alexei has been playing guitar for over 23 years. He studied Jazz guitar with Tim Kobza at the University of Southern California. Alexei has produced music for Disney, Universal, Sony, Warner and has worked with numerous Pop and Rock artists including Britney Spears, Hall and Oats, Tiesto, Jason Derulo, Big Time Rush and All Time Low. He is fluent in all genres but mostly enjoys playing classic rock from the 60's, 70's and 80's. His favorite guitar players are Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, Joe Walsh and John Mayer. Whether you are learning your first chords and strumming patterns, or ready to shred in all 5 positions of the minor pentatonic scale we can help take your playing to the next level.

Gabriel Shive - Guitar, Bass

Gabe has been obsessed with all things guitar since he was 3 years old. Growing up in a family of accomplished musicians, it has always been Gabe's destiny to be a professional guitar player. He spent his teen years performing and recording as a multi-instrumentalist and a session musician and he is constantly playing and sharpening his craft. He pulls influence from a wide variety of artists such as Brian Setzer, Chet Atkins, The Beatles, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and many more. Gabe loves to teach students of all ages and skill sets and he makes learning fun for everybody.
