Vintage Yamaha FG-230 Red Label 12-String, made in Japan—a sought-after vintage Yamaha acoustic with the big, shimmering voice and unmistakable character of a full-size 12-string. The classic natural finish and Red Label pedigree give this FG-230 plenty of period-correct appeal, while its 12-string configuration delivers rich chorus, strong projection, and the layered harmonic texture that works beautifully for folk, rock, country, and singer-songwriter material. Made in Japan, these early Yamaha acoustics have developed a loyal following among players and collectors for their distinctive sound and vintage charm. This example is being sold with a known neck-angle issue and needs a neck reset, making it best suited for a buyer prepared to have the necessary repair work performed.
