2014 Paul Reed Smith Private Stock Angelus Cutaway Electro-Acoustic W / OHSC
Born in the PRS Maryland shop, Private Stock acoustics are handcrafted with passion and attention to detail. PRS has carefully studied some of history’s greatest guitars and combined what they learned with original thinking and creativity. Built to last, these distinctive, heirloom-quality instruments have exquisite playability and big, articulate voices that stand out in the crowd.
Private Stock acoustic guitars are all unique and built to order. This guitar from 2014 is an absolute joy to play and look at. It features a number of beautiful options such as curly maple back and sides, bear claw Sitka Spruce top, Koa binding and an African Blackwood fretboard. The playability of this guitar cannot be overstated. It feels effortless up and down the neck with no buzzes or issues whatsoever. Other high end appointments includes high gloss nitro sunburst finish and the stunning "Paradise" fretboard inlays which feature green ripple abalone, koa and Paua with Paua purfling. This guitar is in excellent overall condition but it does show a few minor flaws from being played. There are 2 small dings on the body...one on the top next to the treble side of the bridge and another on the edge of the top at the cutaway. There are also a couple of very superficial scratches on the back. This guitar was not a case queen...It was owned by a player who used the guitar for recording and an occasional performance. Its not perfect but its close! If you were to order this guitar brand new, it would take nearly 2 years to be finished and cost you about $14,000! This one is an absolute steal! Includes original Ameritage hardshell case.
